NewsguyGroups™ are personal newsgroups that they
can be created by any NewsGuy members, at no additional cost and free of advertising!
Create an open or stealth discussion group, and offer
access to as many or as few NewsGuy members as you like. Groups
are accessible via the Web or NNTP, and can be used for file
sharing, discussion of a favorite topic,
business collaboration, or as a central
gathering place for friends and family.
Customize Groups to
Your Requirements:
When you create a NewsguyGroup™ you'll have complete
control over how users access, and exchange
content within your group. Pre-approve content,
restrict access to specific people, or create an
open forum where anything goes, it's entirely up
to you.

Open & Controlled Access:
This option allows creators to designate if
their group is open to the public, or
restricted to specific users whom they
approve.

Moderated & Open
Posting: Creators can determine how
content will be posted to their group. The
moderated option allows creators to
approve/disapprove posted content, while the
open option allows users to freely post
content into a group.

Text & Binary Content:
Creators can choose to have their group
support text or binary content. Binary content
would include files such as photos, videos, or
music, and creators can further specify if the
content will follow an adult or non-adult
theme.

Stealth Preference:
This option allows a group's creator to either
hide, or display, their NewsguyGroup™ on any
website or server listings.
Accessing
NewsguyGroups™:
NewsguyGroups™ can be accessed by anyone with a
retail NewsGuy account. To access the
NewsguyGroups™ now, please click the button that

Creating NewsguyGroups™:
If you maintain a retail account
with Newsguy, you can create your own
NewsguyGroup™. There is no charge
for creating a NewsguyGroup™, and you can
provide free access to as many NewsGuy members as you
like. To create a group, visit your "My Account"
area, click the "Add Services / NewsguyGroup™".
NewsguyGroup™
Resources:
A substantial amount of resources are provided
to
NewsguyGroups™ free of charge. When a
NewsguyGroup™ is created, storage and download
resources are automatically allocated to a group,
and those resources will support user
connections, uploads and downloads. If a
group's requirements should exceed its standard
allocation of resources, a group's creator may
purchase more storage and download capacity
through their
"My Account" area.

Popular NewsguyGroups™
Pay $$$:
If you create a popular NewsguyGroup™ which
requires resources in excess of your standard
allocation, your users can purchase personal
download capacity to help defray the cost of
operating your group. Users can add extra
download capacity through their
"My Account" area, and the cost is
$5 per 1 GB. Additionally, when a person
purchases extra capacity to facilitate
their downloads from your group, you'll
receive a $2 credit for every $5
purchase they make. Credits can be redeemed for
cash, or used to purchase Newsguy product,
upgrades and services!
